England fast-medium bowler Steven Finn has been chosen as the 2010 Cricket Writers' Club (CWC) Young Cricketer of the Year, it was announced on Friday.
The 21-year-old Middlesex quick, set to be a member of England's bowling attack when they defend the Ashes in Australia later this year, topped the poll ahead of Adam Lyth.
In-form Yorkshire opening batsman Lyth was the first player to score 1,000 first-class runs this English season.
Finn has so far played in eight Tests since making his debut against Bangladesh in Chittagong in March, taking 32 wickets at 23.41 with a best of five for 42 against Bangladesh at Old Trafford in June.
